Humility is the foundation of the Principle of Life. There is no shortage of concrete examples on this matter. It is everyone’s responsibility to list them, contrary to pride, which is by nature the first congenital hold on every man except Jesus Christ and his mother. Our conscience, seat of our true freedom (disposition of goodwill or not) has alone this appreciation. But for it to be shaken by a certain numbness the shock of a humiliation is useful.

Indeed, the Pope gives here the key to a true humility which in itself is unbearable to the entire humankind and can even be considered as the foundation of all suffering. Also, whatever our religion or not we need the interim shock of messianic humiliation thought freely in one way or another through therefore that of a person. There remains, however, the fact of not to follow the wrong messiah who could flatter our universal vice.
