Part 1-Children

Today I am fortunate to be at Francis Delaye, painter-sculptor and runner of God, marathoner of the Lord. It is July 23; we ‘ll have the joy of having several exchanges.

This first interview we wanted to dedicate it to the youth of Francis Delaye, a youth who successively knows several sequences. I remind that you were born in 1923; so, you embrace two centuries, 96 years! Your very first youth, what child were you? What family environment did you grow up in, Mr. Delaye?

Bourgeois parents who had a somewhat nominative faith, at last, a bit like one had at the time. I was born with a styling, as they say of some children, and for my baptism my father wanted to call me France. He absolutely wanted to give me that name, but his entourage refused because they thought it was a woman’s name. My father camouflaged it as Francis. I don‘t know if there are Sainte-France, Saint-France, we don’t know. Here is. I had an ordinary youth, nothing special.

The first childhood memory I have is at a feast of the Virgin Mary, in the month of Mary, that we wished at the time, and with the children we made a small altar with candles and a status of the Virgin Mary. It struck me a lot; and from my early childhood that is all I remember.

Then, I was sick a few times quite seriously, especially from the heart, and I had to suffer a little in my childhood. And then, to pounce in adolescence, I had a completely ordinary adolescence, without any complication. And even, as a teenager, I abandoned the religious practice that my parents had instilled in me and I began to seek the aesthetics of nature by focusing on drawing and painting.

At school I was a poor student because I remember that even in my early childhood in kindergarten, where we were taught the ABC, I said to Stanislas’ teacher: “Why is an A done in three sticks? And the mistress who could not answer had made me put in the solitary confinment, as one put at the time, with a donkey cap.

Then, you have so a smile, Mr. Delaye; we hear the child that you are still today, of course because you are carrying him, and you carry with this malice and jubilation that we see, that we discern in your gaze. In the jokes of your childhood, on the day of your first communion it seems to me that you close your eyes and by closing your eyes you are that player of God to which you are experimenting yourself. You close your eyes to meet the Virgin Mary. And later in the ceremony of this first communion, you gird the crucified with you and, as a child, you kiss him right and then left. You are very player!

During my first communion that I had with difficulties, because I was a very bad student and very unruly. And in the High School where I was, I had followed several disciplinary advices, and the chaplain of this high school made his children do long theology duties to allow them to have access to the first communion. And I was telling him:  “But that’s not what Jesus is asking for!” So, he was answering me: “Maybe it’s not that, but you have to obey!” And I had nothing more to say.

But I had the support of my Scout chaplain where I was, who made me make my first communion anyway. And from my first communion the only thing I remember is that I had closed my fist and I was asking to see the Blessed Virgin. And then I had regrets, I said: “Oh no, it’s too good for me, that’s not what you have to ask!”

So, you grow up, you form yourself, you take the grand tour, you make the trip to Rome. … We are – I remind it for our listeners, you were born in 1923 – at 20 years old we are in 1943, at the end of the Second World War you are 23-24 years old, you make the trip to Rome, you make the trip to Florence, and there happens this conversion in the depths of your heart, while working hard in this workshop in Florence. Your conversion is done in an unusual mode because is not done on a mode sometimes a little commercial or a little on the mode of the fracas. You say, Francis, this conversion, you simply say a word and you engage the conversation in this conversion, in this formula, you say “Father!”

But before this conversion one has to understand what was going on. So, I was a bad student and I was finally accepted by the Director of the Montaigne High School, very kindly, who shook me a little, and from that moment I started to work a little; and I was at the Lycée Louis Grand during my studies of rhetoric, etc., and I was very attracted to physics. And I already had some special intuitions of physics, but the physics we were taught at the time – it was during the war – at the Lycée Louis Grand we didn’t talk about nuclear fission, of course. And I skipped a lot of classes at the Lycée Louis Grand to go to the Sorbonne to listen to lectures on the light that I was passionate about. Finally, when I spent my baccalaureate in …

I was lucky that during the war we passed it only in writing because of the events, but in the context of the examination there was a word: “light”. And at that time I didn’t read the context itself and I did a paper on the light that earned me 9/20 because it was an off-topic masterful, and I didn’t get my baccalaureate because of it. And when I said to my classmates, “You know I made a very nice subject, I’m going to be received”, they told me but no, that’s not the question! Finally at that time, thanks to the life of the war, where many of my comrades were in the resistance, I chose rather than physics the Fine Arts and it was there that I enrolled in the sculpture workshop of Master Beaumont where there was already one of my comrades who was to become famous and who was called Caesar, and who already in his corner, was beginning to make abstract art, abstract sculpture. I once had a question:  because I was working a lot in sculpture, my classmates said to me: “You are a Christian to work so hard?” So, I answered: “I am a Christian like everyone else.” Indeed, I was like everyone else, but I had not yet been converted. And it was after my trip to Rome, and my visit in Florence and the Saint Mark’s Convent where there was an Annunciation of the Virgin Mary that touched me, that I returned to Paris, and in my daily visit to the Louvre Museum as a student to admire all the great classical masters there was there, I saw The Virgin to the rabbit who showed me all the hesitant and erroneous touches of Master Titian and which brutally showed me that Art was nothing at all, that it was an absolutely ugly essay; and I, who had made Classical Art my religion, that totally upset me. And that’s when I went back to my workshop that my father had bought for me, and that I, indeed, said a word: “Father!” And at that moment I was lifted from the ground without me knowing how long, in a enjoyment which has no name.

Francis Delaye, you say, “Father!”  Your conversion is not trivial! Are you starting a conversation? When you say “Father” you are in the meeting, you are in the relationship, you are in this face to face. You are in something that is not high perched, that is not of an unapproachable mysticism; your conversion makes itself conversation. And you yourself say that it is on the return of the Louvre, that in your father’s workshop, under this canopy – we are here very close to Chartres and we will obviously not fail to think of Notre-Dame de la belle Verrière – but you are to address to him, to the Lord, by engaging the conversation that, it seems to me, locates you, places you on a humility mode already! “Father! And it is this “Father” that will also guide all your work, all your work as a sculptor. I remind it to our listeners, you are engaged by the Historic Monuments in your youthful years as Companion of the Tour as a sculptor and then as a stonemason, in these cathedrals of France bereaved by the bombing of the Allied forces. You go to Beauvais, you work at Nevers, you work in Rouen, this “Father”  of your conversion, this “Father” of your conversation, you cut it in stone, you sculpt it. How is it happen? How is it happen in these cathedrals, in our country where you are involved in the restoration of this famous white mantle of our beautiful churches and cathedrals?

Before being hired as a sculptor of Historic Monuments and later as an apprentice stonemason, after my brutal conversion to the workshop and my ecstasy in some way, I fell back to earth and there I was as damned. And for three years I thought myself damned in the midst of enormous inner suffering. My distraught parents took me from clinic to clinic to try to heal me, and the doctors at the time told me that I was sentenced to life. But, after three years of this ordeal, I saw in a bookstore a book called A Call to Love, I read it in one night, and the next morning I was completely healed. And it was from there that I began the work as a sculptor of historic monuments and as a stonemason afterwards, not deeming me worthy to be a sculptor. Indeed, I did not have the talent.

One is going to judge the Francis Delaye’ “little talent”, perhaps; I do say “little talent” in quotes! … I believe that behind you the “little talent” of sculptor that you are has left among others a very beautiful sculpture that represents The Virgin to the Child. We can – in quotes – “smile of your little talent”! It belongs to you, Mr. Delaye!

You are 25, you are hesitating. You hesitate and you are engaged. You have done the Fine Arts of Paris, you have made the trip to Rome, you carve and sculpt in our cathedrals, but you go to the Bec-Hellouin! You go to the Bec-Hellouin, to the Abbey of the Bec near Caen and there you are not far from becoming Benedictine! Tell us that! How is it happen?

Francis Delaye

When I was a sculptor of Historic Monuments, one day on the roof of the Church of Saint-Etienne where I made decorative stone hooks, I had the vision of all the world religions. Because I was already beginning to meditate deeply on Jesus Christ, on the Gospel, etc. I had moreover read several times the ten mystical books that had enlightened me, and I had the vision of all religions. There are seven religions that presented themselves to me. I had authentic faith. A faith but on my heart, I had like the hand of a woman and if I had faith in religion, I had my heart that did not adhere to it. And so, I saw all religions with faith but without adhering with my heart that a woman’s hand protected me. This is an important event that I had during my work to restore churches and cathedrals.

So, you are at the Abbey of the Bec, and then a few years later you go to the forest of Fontainebleau and then you realize that, speaking of heart, you will very quickly adhere to the heart of this person who will become your wife, who is Evelyne Lourdin. And Evelyn Lourdin, with the contribution and the complicity of the Lord, tells you that this may also be here your place rather than being Benedictine; and you will conciliate your status as a husband while obviously leaving your roots and faith guiding your life, guiding the fruitfulness of your works. Your work is prolific, you are on display at the Bernheim-Jeune Gallery, television comes to you several times, you have a state order, and there, all fire all flames, you leave, you marry Madam your wife, Eveline, you have six children, and you will, beating drum, lead on all fronts your career as a painter,… one is still in the young years, this first interview is about your youth. How do you lead everything head-on? How do you finally lead your two wives, if I may say so, our mother the Church, and your wife Évelyne Lourdin, your six children, the interviews you have to conduct and then, it has to be said, your prolific work as a sculptor and painter? I want a date, a time, you are not 40 years old, all your paintings are bought by a Danish merchant, there is nothing left, everything leaves all of a sudden. These are the years of youth, of your last years of youth. Tell us all this.

After my conversion I had given up all art thinking that Art in fact it was not what suited my faith, and it was by marrying after … On the one hand my mother made me do a very important exhibition at the Gallery Creuse – that’s where I got the television and the purchase of one of my works by the state, etc. – and that had some success but I was struck by the commercial side of Art and I said no, that’s not what I need either. And it was when I married Évelyne Lourdin, with the first child she had, she was in bed and she was a little sick, that I began to paint her portrait to keep her company. A passer-by said when he saw my painting: “Oh, that is a professional job.” And maybe it gave me a boost, I don’t know. In any case, I began to look for what I had always sought in my work of art at the Fine Arts, that is to say the secret of the aesthetics of the relief of classical painting; and it was this secret that led me to resume the search for Art. And it is on this subject, moreover, that I had in 1963 the dream …

You are 40 years, you are still young, it is the last years of your youth, we’ll say.

Yes, but it was in 1963 that I had this violent and important dream where I saw several definitions of science including the famous engine with ions.

We’ll get back to that, yes.

Francis Delaye

And above all, the fact that I had the revelation that science and religion should unite among themselves under the aegis of Messiah. At that moment a whispering voice said to me: “You are the Messiah.” I said no, there is only one Messiah, it is Jesus Christ. And at that moment I began to pray to the Virgin Mary, and the Virgin Mary showed me that the engine with ions I had seen could be reversed and replaced by an engine with ions that would have destroyed all religion and procured the end of the world. That’s from there my whole family life took place.

Mr. Delaye, this subject of the engine with ions is so important, so major, that we will devote a dedicated interview on this engine with ions as well as on the humility and humiliation that reveal the principle of life.

I would like to go back, it is very importantly, to what you were saying earlier. We only heard you a little on that famous relief. The relief that your palette comes to explore, the relief of classical painting, the relief of your painting, your sculpture, you hold us out the pole. Relief, it is also the relief in the man of faith that you are. Is it not in correspondence with the relief of the people in the book of Exodus? This land of escarpment where the people will come to the promised land? The relief of this road which Jesus leads us, to tell us that he is the way, life and truth? I see in your interest in the relief in the painting and the fact that you devote all your specificity to it, I see a clear correspondence with the relief of the spiritual path, the relief that leads us to this effort, to this asceticism, to this tiredness; and this tiredness is necessary to meet the sweetness of Christ Jesus, of this relief also that led Jesus of course to another mountain in Golgotha, this relief of the mountain being in itself the relief where is located the teaching of our Lord who…

… There are two things. What I was looking for was the secret of the aesthetics of beauty created while Jesus teaches the aesthetics of uncreated beauty. And it is this uncreated beauty that God tried to teach the Jewish people with all these setbacks because they could not follow his God; and it is this uncreated beauty, that is, the eternal life that Jesus Christ revealed to us in his teaching after the cross through his resurrection. And I in my search for the secret of the relief of the aesthetics of Art, I am actually looking for a created beauty. And it is this created beauty that must be overcome.

Part 2-Maturity

I am lucky to be back in your house near Chartres. And so, we see ourselves today for this second part that we will dedicate to the maturity of your 40 years that you begin in 1963. I remind that you were born in 1923.

To start I wondered about this famous … you will tell us a little bit about the stakes of the dream that you are making, which is not trivial at all. You have a dream of a week, and I understood – tell me how far we must go – I realized that this dream would change your life because it will recap a somewhat new encounter of Science and Art.

… and of the religion.

Of course, and of the religion! Two senses, in this reunification AND of the religion. What is that dream? How did it get here? What did it train? What did it change in your life? In your profession – you are all the same a painter and artist above all – what is it going to change? What is it going to shake up in your life? And, at the level of sciences you don’t have strictly speaking a scientific training, but this dream will engender, will produce a scientific teaching, science-art, with this common denominator, this ferment of the religion that will irrigate this meeting. I talk too much; it is up to you!

In 1963 I had resumed my work with my wife on the search for the aesthetics of relief on a flat surface in Art, and I had thought that relief photography could help me, especially in portraits. And it was at this moment that suddenly it unfolded before me, in an unusual dream, all the possibilities of the photographic relief on a flat surface, until find what I was looking for. It was stereoscopy. Then I jumped in search of aesthetics in the relief not on a flat surface but out of a flat surface, which is called the hologram, which I did not know, and for which with mathematical research I found a definition that turned out different from the second part of the one used at that time on this subject.  And then I continued with a spiral material generator that turned light into matter; but then I didn’t linger on there, I came across the search for the power integrator.

So, let’s talk about it! That famous engine!

This famous engine, what does it allow? Did this engine ever work? In the talks we had on to prepare this interview you tell me the existence of a prototype, a model. This universal engine, what does it smell like? What shape does it have? What is it made of? What is it made up of? Is it fiction? Or could this engine one day really take shape? What is it? How is it different from the philosopher’s stone, from the Graal? Is it incorporated? He traveled until the United States! Tell us a little bit about the fabulous odyssey of this famous engine?

Francis Delaye

I can tell it to you from the evolution that has happened. Personally, I didn’t stop at this ions engine. I simply saw the problem it raised for the union of sciences and religions, and the problem of the unity of religions that imposed itself on me with regard to the messianic message of Jesus Christ, and especially its inversion, dramatic, which the Virgin Mary showed me.

Before we talk about inversion, let us leave it, this engine, if you want so, in its phase …, for the understanding of our listeners, let us return to the genesis of this engine, before the excesses it might experience and the misuse that science would make of it if it were not subject to the love of God revealed by his humility, which is itself revealed by the humiliation of Christ. We will redevelop these points which can thus be said to be invigorating. This first engine as it exists, in its original purpose before it is eventually turned away, what would it allow?  Tell us that.

I dropped a bit of this engine that was beyond me, until the year 2000. From the year 2000, in a precise way I saw on the Internet of Nasa a ball called ions engine that was working at the speed of light, and which probably gathering in circles, was to have an impact on the vision that people had about it. And that’s after I kept looking on the internet at the evolution of this ions engine. I’ve seen  some of the most wacky designs for a very long time, and it’s only now, in a very recent way, that has been established an ions engine with enormous energy that would be able to conduct some research in the atmosphere.

In what this engine can be a vector? How in your book Jesus Master of Secularism, this ions engine…, how do you bridge or a join between the opportunity that this engine represents for the salvation of men, and the prayer contemplation you make of divine humility revealed by God’s humiliation? How does the man of faith use such flexibility? You are, I said, an athlete of our Lord, of God Jesus Christ, but how are you also able to move from physics to faith?  And how, by bringing the two together, you propose us a universal salvation through the viaticum of Christ’s humiliation in his passion in Golgotha, and of this humiliation that comes to reveal the divine humility on which we all, every man, can count?

I am not the one who can make the bridge. It is God. It is God who humiliates himself to the point of touching with finger, until, if you will, touch with foots the sciences, such as for example in Cana, Jesus Christ went down until to turn water into excellent wine and in industrial quantity for the joy of the bride and groom. It is the same, in the same way, it is a little ambiguous, it is God who is above all and who reveals to us a universe different from ours, absolutely magnificent but hidden, and who descends to this ungrateful land, and where men are perhaps seeking to indulge in their demon instead of indulging in God, who comes to give us a respite time for the conversion of the world.

Bertrand Catry

You propose to us, you announce the power of this humiliation which thus comes to reveal the divine humility of God. You see thus, you announce the reconciliation of the whole religions. Aren’t we, Christians and non-Christians – I make me the devil’s advocate, but I will come back not demonized – will we not run the risk of gnosis? Tell us in your faith and in what you propose to the Pope – you are in a relations and you regularly write to the Pope – how can you reassure us about the very important Gnostic movement that may have been there in past times? How does your announcement of humiliation and therefore divine humility differentiate you from a practitioner of the Gnosis?

Francis Delaye

The gnosis considers the power of sciences as the goal, but for me what I see in the ions engine that I called integral dependent, a time during which it will run, but a time counted before it reverses. While the gnosis believes that it is the reversal of this engine that counts.

Bertrand Catry

That is right! Thank you for this precision and clarity, Francis Delaye, for your reply, which can bluff us all because I find it truly extremely inner and extremely sincere. So, the integration of this engine into your faith is a chance for humanity before this engine reverses, but you pray every day that it does not reverse. I come back to the title of your book Jesus Master of Secularism. Deep down, it seems to me, tell me if I am wrong, you present to us the humiliation that the Lord experienced in his Passion, his message there by his humiliation is more important than Love which is a kind of cream pie on which Christians would have weigh down themselves a little for several centuries. This humility opens the way for the revelation of this principle of eternal life that would apply to all religions. And, is it precisely this universality, which allows us to understand Jesus Master of Secularism in the sense that you say him as predating Christianity, that is to say that Jesus, the message of Jesus, is no longer at all in a contextual environment, historical, Jesus, his teaching and the strength he proposes to us would ultimately precede the advent of Christianity, and at the same time Master of Secularism because common to all religions. Basically, you go to get out of the locking up, Jesus. Men have locked him too much into precisely the religion. I simply finish these words maybe a little, not heretics or apocryphal… Doesn’t your work live to de-incarcerate, allow me this expression, to de-incarcerate Christ from the Christian religion, basically? To take him out of the Christian religion in which one has locked him up too much? And so as opposed to other religions when your whole life aims to reunite these religions by recognizing this transcendence of God’s divine humility?

Yes, in fact the Christian religion gives birth, would proceed to a birth of the union of religions, the revelation of the divine humility of God. This does not prevent Christians from going there by the way of Love which is revealed by Christ as well. In such a way that there would be two distinct personalities in Christ. In human Christ, I hear. One of Jewish prophet of divine Love and the other of universal Messiah of God’s humility. And for Christians it is a test, a little, because the Love of God as St. Paul says, is all for the Christian. But one would tend a little to put a final point in it when in divine Love there is no final point, and he can annihilate itself with regard to charity for others.

It is precisely the overcoming of the suffering of his humiliation. Because humiliation is the starting point of everything. Without this humiliation nothing happens. What does the resurrection open? It is the opportunity for us to experience our own suffering! To humiliate ourselves in turn so that metabolizing our own suffering – it is all the work of etiotherapy that is a very active current today in today’s therapies – by metabolizing one’s own suffering, by bringing it up by this resurrection of the flesh that will come in time accomplished during parousia, that is to say of the definitive return of God to earth, and so, metabolizing this suffering we have this incredible chance, Christians and non-Christians, that is what you say, religious and non-religious, to know if not bliss but in any case to glimpse this path of salvation that you announce for all men, Francis Delaye.

But, if you will when we talk about humiliation, we scare everyone away.

Yes, I agree!

Francis Delaye

Because humiliation and nature don’t get well with at all! But if we talk about the humiliation of God himself for us, it is a little different in that we realize that our demon to which we engage is really anti-divinity.

Remind us what our demon is to us?

Francis Delaye

The demon of ours is our search for ourselves.

Bertrand Catry

That is our pride, isn’t it?

Francis Delaye

It is our pride, our ego, our selfishness, all you want, you can call it by all the names one want, but it is a demon, it is pride.

Bertrand Catry

That is right, it is taking yourself for God, in fact, it is a demon! It is infinite pride! While god is precisely all humility, he is absolutely not pride.

Francis Delaye

This humiliation of God leads us to true humility, if one recognizes it in Jesus Christ. That is it, I think.

Bertrand Catry

What would be for you, from the moment we enter into the discourse of humiliation and therefore of humility and the infinite sweetness that it reveals for all of us, what might be the fruits, what could be the possible life for whole humanity from the moment we assimilate, when we can enter this virtuous circle of humiliation-humility-salvation? Is there a possibility of a global reconciliation of humanity and therefore of happy time, in your opinion? Could we know happy times?

Francis Delaye

Yes of course. It is not a question of humiliating yourself all the time. But humiliation is necessary for humility. Without humiliation there is no humility.

Bertrand Catry

… there is no humility, that, I think our listeners hear it, yes.

Francis Delaye

And the most suitable humiliation for humility is religious practice. The religious practice in all religions on which one depends to recognize that of Jesus Christ by the way of which one has the faith. And it is for humanity an immense good because humility has enormous power from the point of view of the principle of life of the universes.

Bertrand Catry

You distinguish it from Love when, deep down when I hear this echo and this call, this announce, not as a Messiah – it would be sacrilege, but sometimes one has the impression to hear you as a messiah, you have already been told it – but deep down, this religious practice, this immersion in divine humility can lead us to this perfect Love that Jesus Christ represents? That perfect Love! How does humility, the gentleness which is proposed by humility, what is the meeting point, what is the point of difference between the outcome, the fruits of religious practice and humility in relation to the idea that we have, Christians and non-Christians, of the perfect Love?

Francis Delaye

It took me to reach this conclusion more than sixty years of meditation and avoid all the data of Catholic theology by first using my religion and realizing that there was a certain dichotomy between the theology of St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Bonaventure with regard to the nature of pure spirits, which was linked to their diametrically opposed philosophies of each other. And then looking for into the history of religions and philosophies I realized what was exactly going on in the Catholic faith and on the principle of non-contradiction. And I put in the year 2000 a philosophy based on the principle of contradiction that would have brought the two together, but all this is secondary. What matters is the heart of the faithful, whether they are of any religion, established in God either by Christian divine Love, by the  Jewish Love of obedience, or by the Muslim Love of worship, etc., up to Chinese Love of compunction which is very different but is fundamental.

We were at the moment on the subjects of the Chinese compunction, Muslim worship and also Jewish worship; we are at the end of this second part, this second interview, you are approaching your 65-70 years; you are going to tell us, religiously, of this theology that opposes Saint-Bonaventure against St. Thomas on the one hand, and on the other hand it seems to me that at 65 you still have, dare I say it, your eyes turned to America because you have not given up, far from it, your profession as a painter, and I think you have painted a secretary woman in the United States? Can you tell us a little bit more?

Francis Delaye

I had done an exhibition in my father’s office that had earned me the big eyes of the owner who had sent a notary or a lawyer to find that  some paintings was being sold in the commercial premise and that the rent could then be increased. And I had a visit from an American woman who had commissioned her portrait to me. And I did her portrait and it went to Austria I think and that is where I found her to bring her my portrait whose purchase had warmed me, because the sale of my paintings was not obvious.

In your prayers…, and we will conclude our interview perhaps on this last message, we will deal with this point precisely from the heart, the content of your prayers, the man of faith that you are: You are 97 years old – my respects! Ninety-seven years old! What is your greatest hope? It is 2020, we have been “covid”  each other — excuse me for making an aside from the news but it will still mark the time and several generations – you told me just now when I arrived in your house this morning, that the covid, this news, invites, proposes and opens people to a resumption of faith, of prayer. In relation to the hope you have of humanity, depending on the reversal or not of this famous ions engine, is this Covid, will this news that will mark men for a while, is it a chance? And if so does it fit into your hope of returning to God, ultimately?

Yes, I think it was Providence that allowed this, to strengthen Man’s ties with him a little, but I also think and I also hope, at last I hoped that my evangelical mission would be continued by my children and grandchildren, or by children of the Church so as to bring religions together in the face of this terrible inversion that can take place.

All right. Your blood children, your grandchildren, you have one of your grandsons who has resided in your family home for a long time this summer, and then other grandchildren…, transmissions know ways that alone are known to the Lord. If I may say so!

Yes, of course, especially since I don’t know if I’ll see anything of that before I die, given my age; and neither Abraham, nor Jesus, nor Moses, nor any of the great prophets saw the fulfillment of their prophecies in their lifetime. Then I am nothing! I wrote to the Pope that I was but a stepping-stone by a penitent theologian to come who would listen to all that I am unable to listen to.

For our listeners: we had dedicated the first episode to your youth, your conversion, your conversation, your work as a visual artist, a painter but also a sculptor and a stonemason. Our previous interview we had dedicated it to your maturity, in short from your 20 years until your 65 years. And here we are today for the third episode of this visualization that we will dedicate to your work of faith, to your work as a mystic, a Christian but also perhaps a prophet. You are going to tell us how far you are prophet of our time!  And therefore, this third interview we dedicate it to your confessions, in the tone of course always very intimate of our confidences, on your route as a man who today, we believe it, some of us who know you well can testify to your encounter, your presence to God, and it is on your presence to God that we will work today; with this reminder for our listeners, the last interview was devoted to maturity and it was based on two main subjects: the first the famous engine, this universal engine on which we will maybe come back, this formidable power integrator engine that interested the Americans in its time – there were tests at NASA, you may soon be in orbit, Mr. Delaye –, and  the second subject of the previous interview was this very thorough reflection we had on the humiliation of the Passion of the Lord which is this springboard to understand the divine humility of God which can lead by this principle of universal life,  well, to a new understanding among men. In other words, this second subject was based on the virtuous circle of humiliation-humility-salvation for men. For this third interview, the subject dedicated to confessions, to your confessions, a bit as the “what I believe, what I believe”. I remind that you were born in 1923, that you are going with a light step to your 100 years old, well, maybe as an introduction … you had made this dream and you had also had it during your work on the façade of the Cathedral of Beauvais; you had this revelation at a time, that god’s divine humility could be the way to reunification, to the unity of the whole religions. What is that to say? What, in your heart as a believer, Mr. Delaye, this uniqueness of religions…, how can it happen? How is it possible? Francis, tell us that.

First, it is God himself who can say how this can happen. Because the diversity of men is such that it depends much more on infinity than on us. But for me it has been oriented, all my prayers were guided by the ions engine, in fact, which revealed to me in some way that to bring science and religions and non-religions together, one had to understand the power of the annihilation of God in the Passion of Christ.

This annihilation of Christ comes from the Faith. It is a confession. It is because you believe in the annihilation of man God on the cross that, equipped with this annihilation that reveals the incredible divine humility, this generating fact becomes the corner stone to allow other religions to advance hand in hand for the benefit of the whole humanity.

Francis Delaye

Yes, but then what is happening now is that this ions engine is not yet fully realized. In the one that is currently underway it lacks an essential piece, it is the fusional plasma with double attached scales that seems necessary and of which I cannot tell you what it is, because I am completely ignorant, I simply have got intuitions.

These intuitions were revealed to you in part during a dream that, without having had any special education or higher education if not in Art at the Fine Arts, on the subject of sciences, what intuition do you have to have imagined this fusional work of plasma double-scale ! What representation can you tell us, to your listeners, what is this fusional plasma? What is plasma? I am little advanced, but I did not have this dream, what is the stake of this ingredient in the engine? And how does this engine submitted to God that would allow the reconciliation of sciences and faith, how is this engine necessary in your convictions as a man of faith? And how is it new? How is it new? How is it new in the whole history of the Catholic Church? What does this engine announce? And what is it going to allow? And what is it made of?

Personally, I announce it but do not ask me more. I am totally ignorant about it. I had a dream about this that allowed me to build the model in detail of this engine, but between the dream and the reality of sciences there is an abyss. And I can’t fill it, personally. I’m absolutely nothing, you have to understand that! It is that I, with regard to god’s work, am absolutely nothing but a lost disciple of Christ, and that is it.

Bertrand Catry

You are a disciple who is not lost of Christ! Christ has identified you perfectly. You count heavily in his project. And far from being lost, on perhaps more tangible, more concrete aspects, let us return to your path of faith, to Mr. Delaye. What spiritual exercises do you practice? You spoke to me, in preparation for this interview, of an unceasing practice. Can you tell us what this unceasing practice is? Do you practice the Liturgy of the Hours? How many hours do you pray per day? What do you ask the Lord? What do you get from him? What do you want to say to our young people who are watching us, in what you receive and what you want to say to them and pass it on to them today, in 2020. What do you receive from your prayers? What favors do you receive in your family, in your life? Are you a monk? Are you a monk, are you religious?

Personally, as soon as it was possible when I retired, I practiced double mass per day, morning and evening. Always having in mind the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus on the cross that has been my unceasing prayer since my conversion. And I did it in agreement with Father Finet, founder of The Martha Robin Charity Homes in which we had many retreats with my wife, and it is this double mass of everyday life, that is virtual now because of the Covid, on the internet, but which is continuous anyway, and personally, I am still in a state of eucharist if you will. It is my constant prayer.

You therefore receive the body of Christ twice a day, certainly by the present means imposed on us by health constraints; What talk do you give to the Lord? What are you asking him? If I understand well this doubly daily Mass you follow it, you will tell me, you will confirm to me, since your marriage, is that it? Since an awfully long time? What did you actually receive? You pray the Our Father and the Hail Mary and perhaps The Magnificat, concretely, Francis, what happens during these prayers?

Francis Delaye

I receive many favors from the intelligence of Christ’s life, if you will, which are personal to me; and I understand, for example, that from the moment of his incarnation Christ suffered enormously from his agony of Gethsemane, which was the most terrible suffering he had known, much more even than his Passion, than his actual ordeal. And it was around this revelation that I built my continual prayer.

This continual prayer, how does it unfold during the day? In other words, tell us, Mr. Delaye, we are not only pure spirits, we have been embodied, we have been incarnated also to receive the divinity of God and also to confess that of the incredible of Christ-God’s  humanity. A day counts 24 hours, tell us, in this day of 24 hours, in your nights and your days, how is the meeting of your life as a man incarnate with his occupations we will say profane, and your occupations we will say of the sacred domain? How does it fit in? Just tell us the things, on a day like today – apart from our interview – how are your days of prayers and activities of the man Francis Delaye?

Francis Delaye

Well, my activities are in fact busy, sometimes because of the internet and problems, various annoyances, or even sometimes anxious thoughts of situations about my future, if you will. But each time I tend to fall back on myself, on my personal concerns, and I humiliate myself before Jesus by asking forgiveness for these distractions that are in fact continual, but on which I keep coming back to his heart which is everything to me.

Mr. Delaye, I hear, I come back – I have the spirit of stairs – you mentioned the detonator and the importance that had these prayers exchanges with Father Finet and the stigma received from Martha Robin. Tell us again that time. Tell us again, Francis, what you met and what charisma Martha Robin passed on to you I believe a few years ago! We were I believe in the 1960s or 1970s! Can you go back to that time of your prayer life?

I did not know Martha Robin before her death.

It was after I saw Father Finet for telling him that the Second Vatican Council had authorized two Masses a day, before the modifications made by Father Passicos which I do not have to judge, but which actually did not concern me; and I spoke about it to Father Finet who said, “in this case I too want to practice two communions and two Masses a day”; this is what he did to the great damn of his community who did not understand him and who considered him a little senile.

In any case I can see the fruits of two eucharists a day! You are going strongly, as an athlete of the Lord, towards your 100th birthday in two or three short years. This food, this holy food, which is the memorial of our Lord, of this Lord, of our God who offers himself in food, visibly benefit you, visibly! How can it succeed? Tell us how it can benefit the multitude since you experience it yourself, and that it visibly succeeds you! Tell us with your words how it is beneficial to the world. Tell it to us!

Francis Delaye

Any growing union with Christ is beneficial to the world. If you want it is our daily sufferings that is not so much terrible suffering, of course, for little souls like me, souls of nothing, but minor annoyances that my age feels more than others, necessarily, because it worries about practical things, while in the current these things pass to the ace. But it is this ever-growing union at the heart of Christ that is upsetting everyone little by little in his mind.

Francis you tell us a little bit that we are, basically, at the beginning of the Christian religion, which is 2000 years old, which is one of the oldest in the world, but to hear you, when you say little by little, this is just the beginning. I would like to come back to the unity of religions. Without polemic, if you say that the other religions and non-religions have an interest in relying on the divine humility revealed by the Passion of Christ, in a way you say without really saying that they are in tow of the Christian religion, because they must agree, because coming to attest that they have ultimately everything to gain from Christian teaching by its Passion, you put them in a certain way in tow!

Francis Delaye

No, not at all!

Bertrand Catry

Exactly, you are putting them in tow! How can you agree that they retain their full freedom from the moment they have to rely and confess this generating fact, that corner stone which is the Passion of Christ, which is ultimately the beginning of this virtuous chain on which other religions can rely? How do you conceive of the unity of religions without enslaving them – I am talking about the Jewish religion and the Muslim religion in particular – without enslaving them to the Christian religion? In other words, how to understand, how to unify them from the moment they rely on this foundation of the humiliation of the Passion of Christ? Explain us a little bit this! it is especially important, it is essential!

Francis Delaye

No, the other religions are not in tow of Christ, but it is the Christian religion that somehow gives birth to a nudity of Christ present outside the Christian religion but at the same time in it, in this way that there is for the Christian religion Love and Truth that are taught together, but for the other religions it is the same. Instead of divine Love, which is the Christian religion’s own, it will be Jewish Obedience or Muslim Adoration that will have this effect. But the person of Christ is independent in a way, as I saw it with 60 years of meditation, independent of the Christian religion.

Bertrand Catry

The human person of Christ is independent of the Christian religion hence this relationship, this approval that you make of Christ as a man is useful, it is beneficial to practice the human person of Christ.

Francis Delaye

Yes, exactly.

Bertrand Catry

Can you develop the benefits of the practice not of the divine aspect of God, but of that human person who, it seems to me, has two components: the Jewish divine prophet and the universal Messiah. Can you develop that aspect of things?

Francis Delaye

This is a question for the Christian religion. In fact, St. Paul speaks of Love as exclusive to perfection by saying that those who have no Love have nothing. But he was waiting for perfect Love, but perfect Love includes for Christians the humiliation of Christ. And the humiliation of Christ is very difficult even for Christians to recognize well because it is something that is necessary for the end of the times we live. And in some way, Christians must give up the Love of Christ as he does to hand over his humble Passion, of the humble sky that reveals a humble sky in which we must resurrect, be revived and that all religions and non-religions must embrace by a faith in his human person.

All right. A faith in his human person. So, we are well on the register of faith! Imagine Francis that I am a Muslim, imagine that I am a Buddhist, imagine that I am…, then, the oldest religion: the Jewish religion, imagine that I am Jewish, I am Judeo-Christian, imagine that I am Jewish, what can you tell me which is credible, definitive to both root myself in my Jewish religion and open myself to the Christian religion as a Jewish – imagine that I am Jewish? How will the practice of Christ help me to converge with Francis Delaye, this Catholic man since his conversion of his youth? What could you tell me if I was Jewish so that I could meet you and finally allow men to live better together?

Francis Delaye

In the search for God in fact, man by his original fault and the pride that is inscribed in the depths of all men, whoever except Christ and his mother Mary, seeks to go to God on his own way. Even the Buddhist religion seeks of oneself to go to God. But Christ announces that this is not this the full truth, but that it is God who comes down to us. It is this inversion of man such he thinks faith in the principle of life that is necessary for man for his salvation.

All right, Francis, it is this lowering, it is this treasure common to humanity. By this lowering God comes to meet us so that we can return to him. It is this phenomenon, it is this game of the elevator specific to the Christian religion, but that is the treasure on which all other religions can count and seize this magnificent treasure. We advance in the understanding and intelligibility, Francis, of your messages. From these messages that under the title of announcements you have written to the Pope several times, and in the messages you address to him you have recently addressed two announcements. And I am going back to those particularly important announcements. You announce the need for the immediate future of the world to first see Jesus Christ in his quality of man; second announcement: “I announce the creation of a scientific double machine.” We are going maybe…, we have developed this famous scientific machine a lot, can you tell us what you expect, the hope you have of your correspondences with his Papal Lordship? What is, for our listeners, how is it new, what you write to the Pope? How is this new?

Well, I want to say to the Pope that, if you will, the primary mission of the Church will not only be to announce divine Love first, but to announce divine humility first and foremost. Now, from the theological point of view, we will come up against the traditional theology, that is to say rational which puts a final point to Love and considers all things in some way a little to the letter, and it will require for Christian life to conceive precisely what I said, a separate birth from the person of Christ for everyone.

Mr. Delaye are you a prophet?

I think I have a bit of prophecy in me, it is true, I have already written it and been told “but if you were a prophet you would already be known!” But I said it is God who makes his prophets known, they are not the ones who make themselves known.

Proof by nine of your adherence to the virtues of the lowering, you give us the illustration and the materiality. Francis, we come to the end of our third interview which is obviously not the last one since we will have other exchanges in Paris or in your house near Chartres. What can you finally, in your prophecies perhaps – and we may know that in some 100 years or maybe a thousand years, I do not know – you have a very rich family life, you have many grandchildren, beyond transmissions or non-transmissions to your grandchildren and children, what can young people understand? What do you want to tell our youth? What can you tell them? What do you trust them with? And what do you want from the bottom of your heart as a man of faith, of praying man, to tell them?

Well, just trust, actually. A trust in life, in the principle of life because it is the principle of life of the universe as one conceives God that directs everything.  And I think that youth can trust in Jesus Christ precisely because of his humility.

I had first, as soon as it has been possible, contacted a hundred theologians grouped to study Christian ecumenism. Only 10% of them were interested in my proposal for priority to the humility of Christ.

Then, from the year 2000 I went on the internet by contacting as many Christian world as possible.  The very first Internet user reaction was textually this one: “you are too direct, you scare everyone away”. I answered after to all kinds of reactions.

Indeed, I realized that announcing the Passion of Jesus Christ as a priority could be a problem, and more by adding the even temporary union of sciences.

This lasted more than about ten years when I had 20 to 30 visits a day. Then, it has withered away and finally 2 years ago it was given to me to publish the book “Jesus Christ master of secularism” editions of the Pantheon that seems not to want to spread for now.

The last internet user reflection was:  “I will believe what you say when you have done Lourdes’ dishes.” Which was a kind way to send me back to myself.

Since then I have redoubled my zeal in this direction, understanding that I had to prepare the possible arrival of it only for God alone, I, having only to continue to realize what the spirit would dictate to me, all the more that my old age holds in suspense an imminent death.

If it happens to me to realize a special mission, I have written to Pope Francis in this direction with the help of a Hindu friend cardinal. He replied to me, so I think he knows about what was given to me for the church. That is to say, a birth of the latter for all, of the human person of the universal messiah in his free and necessary revived passion, mainly for a French secularism that hesitates between the human pride that can be called satanic and a true humility without lies, that really the universal messianism of Christ Jesus among all prophesy has been able to achieve.

According to figures from the latest survey in 2015, Christians are by far the largest religious group, with 2.3 billion members, or 31.2% of the world’s total population of 7.3 billion. Next come Muslims (1.8 billion, or 24.1%), Hindus (1.1 billion, or 15.1%) and Buddhists (500 million, or 6.9%).

But the third largest category is absent from this list. In 2015, 1.2 billion people worldwide, or 16%, reported having no religious affiliation. This does not mean that all these people are committed  atheists; some – perhaps even most –, have a keen sense of spirituality or belief in God, of gods or guiding forces, but they do not identify with an organized religion and do not practice it.

In view of these quotes from the internet on the number of world believers I continue to affirm what I wrote to Pope Francis on 28/04/2020:

1/ I indeed announce the need for the immediate future of the world to see first Jesus Christ in his capacity as a man revealing by the humiliation of His Passion the humility of God. And I say that therefore, there are two personalities in human Christ, one as a Jewish prophet of Divine love, the other of the universal Messiah of Divine humility. The church would therefore have to announce as a priority not the Divine Jewish love, yet so taking for us Christians, but the Divine humility that all religions and non-religions would have to recognize universally. Given that there would be to Serve God as the poor of the poors at the same time as the other, especially in French secularism.

2/ I announce the creation of a double scientific machine that both would be based on the very energy of the creation of the universe or universes, that is, on the idea that one can make of God. One that I call dependent integral ion engine that would submit to God and hence provoke some agreement with religions for the full benefit of humanity around Jesus Christ. The other, which I call an independent integral ion engine that in senseless pride would take God’s place and eventually bring about the end of time.

Among other things, I would like you to address once and for all the subject of your doubts, your questions, in short what does not flow naturally … I mean these fault points, yours, echoing your own humility. There are rightly things you failed or missed; it is time to say them, as a counterpoint to your messages, expectations and announcements.

I hope for the good of all that you will also express yourself on the FODEF, to set out not only the roadmap but also the priority actions to your eyes that FODEF must take.

As for my flaws in this regard, they have been continuous, continually falling back on my self-esteem, of which I constantly had to ask forgiveness. As a last resort I realize more closely how my research in painting was misplaced in the face of a research that should have been more constant of charitable works, although in its time my wife and I did catechism at SFX Paris with Fr. Hardy.

For my message proper I was going by groping from failure to failure and always hoped for general recognition. It is only really now that I believe I have understood that my essential role is only to prepare the second human advent of universal messiah Jesus Christ…

As far as my works of art are concerned, first, the question was probably selfishly that of promoting them for my children who, except for one of my daughters, did not ask for so much. That is why to try a community distribution I created a legal framework, the FODEF, to which I added the ion engine (whose problems are at the origin of all my religious research on Divine humility), books, etc. while not forgetting the priority of my true spiritual mission that never left me and its practical repercussions.

The source of the fundamental energy from which our universe comes or according to some scientists THE possible universes,  therefore our life, is called without religion Principle of life if one wants it impersonal, or if one wants to give it a personality (Jews, Muslims, Christians) the One God due to the whole history of the Jewish people and all its successive prophets.

The questions I discussed with you, did not have all a link with Bertrand’s interview. But you are right on the question about the “principle of life” when I was asking you what precise definition you gave it, to understand what you meant.

Another one comes to my mind, unrelated to interviews, it is your definition of the whole religions with what differentiates them and unites them at the same time. In your discussion with me, you were very concrete and for once, I understood what you meant (love…………….).

This is what I usually miss, to be able to understand in all simplicity and not in all complexity. When a base is laid, it is easier to follow the rest, much like a mathematical equation. And actually, for a non-religious, we unhook very quickly with what you say, because we do not have your codes.

What unites the ecumenical Jewish, Muslim, and Christian religions is faith in a unique personal God as Abraham originally received it.

But what differentiates all religions without exception is that they obey different spirit leaders who each have a way to meet the Infinite.

Nevertheless, I personally believe that if the Christian religion has the way of Divine love, it also has to give birth, for the unity of all, to the person of the messianism of Jesus Christ who reveals through a passion unique in history the action of a true necessary humility.

It is also necessary that those to whom one speaks should get fully briefed with a Christian gospel and a summary of the Bible, if only for the reason of general culture.

Mary accepted that because of sin, loving to want to suffer was of a Trinitarian Divine nature, which we can only accept by making ourselves a continuous violence in union with Mary. Nevertheless, our inner joy is great when we admit it, and gives us strength.

The hypocrisy invading us, we must humiliate ourselves in the agony of Messiah and Mary. The pangs of these agonies have been constant proportionally to their active state of living here.

Thus, Jesus Christ in his passion before the ordeal from his arrest properly said, suffered, by the prescience that he had, a moment of total dereliction called Gethsemane’s agony which made him pour sweats of blood flowing to the ground. Medicine knows this pain of bloody sweat of anguish but not shed to this degree.

And the density of pain of this brief agony was such that it far exceeded that of the ordeal of which, yet we know the main details, and which were so great…

Women are the heart of the Church and it is fitting that this heart remains hidden from the world. Only therefore the heart of the universal Messiah, to whom they must bring, must be totally revealed to all. Indeed, the church is a monster of men of all kinds which needs mystical supports, to which femininity is of nature more easily arranged usually as seen.

Thus, it was given more than 50 years of meditations to come to explain the consequences of a fabulous dream of 1963. It is the announcement of pure and integral humility in which there is no longer any borders or spiritual boundaries. And we have the joy of meeting today on the subject… I would like to call it the subject of the articulation of the man you are, with the theologian and the man of God that you have been for many years, at least since your conversion, young man, a few decades ago. You will be getting closer to your centenary in a few days; in a few days you will celebrate your 97th birthday. The first episode – I remind it for our listeners – we had dedicated it to your youth. The second part, the second film, we had dedicated it to your maturity. The third finally, in autumn, to your faith, your belief. And today I wonder about this meeting place, the  knee (“I-us”), this articulation that allows us to always move forward, where, in fact, meet themselves the stake of you as a person with others, with the world;  the us, the I-me, the us, the others, and of this articulation where we will notice points of friction, points of softness, points of recapitulation, points of coherence, but also questions because it never goes without saying, the articulation. Sometimes it hurts, we wake up on the morning…. And sometimes you don’t even think about it so much the articulation is well oiled.

So, in this subject of this fourth interview, the I-us, you and the others, you and the world, tell us about your person, yourself, with your family, and perhaps remind us of the husband you were, you would have wanted to be, or the husband that you were with Evelyne your dear wife; and also, with your children since she gave you six children. Remind us of the husband you have been all these years with Evelyne, who a few years ago – you told me earlier – would have written, has written more than six hundred poems. Anyway, my wife, I had her by divine revelation on a feast day in Madrid where the passion of Christ was celebrated. I heard a voice saying, “You will marry the first young girl you meet at the border.” I heard this voice with such a strength, with such a power that I was taken with intense fear. I had to stay in Madrid for three or four days, I decided to leave immediately to escape this mysterious word. And above all so powerful. So, I took the train immediately, I got to the border. At the border it was night, I asked for a hotel, I was shown a hotel; I went at this hotel run by an old lady. The next morning when I woke up, while getting up, I saw through a screen gap a young girl with a long nose, and I said: “it is not possible, it is not that one!” I immediately phoned a friend of mine who was in Bordeaux to tell him that I was arriving by train to stop at his house before going to Paris, and then I went immediately on the train which was very crowded at that time, and I had difficulties to find a place. I found an occupied place by the window, which I took, and finally before the train departed, I saw a young girl, the same girl I had seen at the border, who was heading next to me with a large trunk. I looked at her, I let her put her trunk all alone where it was needed, and I told me:  “damn it, it is her!”

She sat next to me, in a reserved place, there was no other.  So, I asked her: “What time does the train leave?” So, she thought he is cheeky this one, as he left already earlier because he knew it was full, he must know the time! So, she said: “yes”, and then we started the conversion and finally we talked about my mother’s fibrillary paint. I tell her if you want to see my mother in Paris, I give you my address, and I gave her my card, she gave me her name. I left her in Bordeaux, and we saw each other after that after making an appointment with my mother in the workshop.

You were a business manager, what relationship did you have in the early days? It seems to me that you had the responsibility that your own father gave you in his time for Peugeot’s South American interests; what relationship did you have with your collaborators? I was first a sub-boss. It was my father who held everything in hand. And I and my brother had just to be obeying. We were the little sub-bosses. Until the day when the house almost went bankrupt because it had suddenly lost all its customers, and I found myself at the head, with only one of my little clients of nothing at all that began to develop to allow me to survive.

In my relationships with my clients, one day I asked myself the question by asking someone, telling him: “but in the end we swindle customers by making them pay commissions!”

We are swindling customers! Yes.

Francis Delaye

And the person I was talking, told me: “Look at my heart.” And I understood that one must look at the heart of Christ in everything one does.

Bertrand Catry

Until into the relationship with your customers! And so, here you are telling us that there is a change of relationship; the relationship is no longer a single business relationship but a relationship in which the business becomes purely an excuse to be in this heart to heart with this gentleman whom the Lord sends to you, let him be a client, let him be a collaborator.  You have finished your career – you said earlier – with only one person, in fact, an agent and a secretary.

Not only with my brother, but my brother got along very badly with my father who was very authoritarian as I told you, and relations between the two were quite strained a few times, and I had to intervene often to calm those relationships.

To tell the truth, the Church for me it is relations with Christ. It is a mystical relationship if you will. All the church traditions, all this, are quite blurred and I did not try to find out if I had Christian relations or not, I was content to be myself with Christ together in everything I did.

So, family, business, the third circle, in sort of, of your entourage, of your relationship of yourself with the world, with others, I remember that you had mentioned the different services you would have liked to have in the Catholic world; you rendered some services to church, you have been catechist, how was it?

Francis Delaye

Yes, we were very much in contact with Monsignor Hardi, who was not Bishop at the time so who was simply the parish priest of St. Francis Xavier. We had a lot of very close relations with him, and we were his catechist for the parish and Evelyne was the lay first lady of that church. And we have been in contact with a lot of priests who were invited to lunch or dinner, one of whom became Cardinal, which allowed me to put myself in touch with the Pope.

So, this radiant life in your community is illustrated by catechistic work; also, in a way do you consider that the prayer that becomes unceasing for you at that time and the Eucharist that you practice twice a day, do you consider it a church service? Could one consider it, you know, in these charitable works that are given to others? Can one really understand that this prayer, which will take in an unceasing way most of the use of your time that you make of your days, can we really consider that you are doing a service to the Church by praying for the world twice a day?

Francis Delaye

This prayer first, these two Masses a day, it was after, when I was retired. Because when you must work you don’t have time to go to Mass twice a day.

Of course!

But I was not trying to do a special service to the Church, I was in Eucharistic communion, if you will, inwardly with Christ all the time. Since my conversion this is what I have been.

Family father, husband, business leader, volunteer in the various church services in St. Francis Xavier, and finally perhaps the fourth level, the fourth circle, and not the least, your work as a sculptor and as a painter. What does this work of sculpture and painting reveal about your relationship with others, with the world? Is it a springboard? Is it a hyphen? When you sculpt, when you paint, Francis Delaye, you do it in isolation in your ivory tower with yourself? Or do you do it because you want to tell things to the world, to the people?

It was not in isolation, as I said.

I was always in contact with Christ in everything I did, even in my works as a common painter who had no religious subject, and more when I had religious subjects that I dealt with. But for the passion of painting, I was indeed, I wanted to seek to become professional; my father gave me a free year to try to conform to that desire. It finally took place at the Flea Fair where for a year I exhibited my paintings, with problems with a gallery owner who had his stand right in front of me and who looked after young painters. But who finally slapped me publicly by saying to me: “You have no right to make such a painting!” I did not answer him, but finally when he died, the secretary he had with him and whose name was Mrs. Bresnotwis, told me: “All the works my boss presented, I did not like them, but what you do I love them a lot, I put myself at your service.” I told her I did not have any money; she said, “It does not matter, you will not pay me, I am putting myself at your service.” And finally, she managed, like this, to sell a dozen paintings to a Danish amateur.

Your work is important, your work in any case pictorial. Your many paintings with different phases obviously inspired at the origin of Cubism, but of course with all the stereoscopy that can be found there and tachism in the 90s. Your work, in fact, if one wants to know it better, one must go to Denmark, of course since you have straight off been bought all your paintings. You told me something that really amazed me, that really made my attention, you say that in the end your work, I quote you, is “inappropriate” – it is you who say it – compared to other more charitable works that you would have maybe imagine doing. No no. What I knew was that I had too much self-love in fact to make a true representation of the world, of this world. That is what Art is. And for example, I read Cézanne’s writings; I read them with passion because I was interested in everything, I was interested in Impressionist art, but I was astonished by this painter’s complete emptiness about spiritual life. While I, spiritual life and art seemed to be linked.

Already, I had no special relationship. He was in a corner of the workshop. My boss, Master Gaumont, was telling him you know what you want, you don’t need me.

And for Laurens I was in awe of his works; and at first, I was imitating his works. Of these works that I have done, there is only one that was saved from the fire of my workshop and which was given to one of my cousins. But Laurens invited me one day to come to his house when he was hosting a famous artist, whose name I can not remember, a famous Jewish artist to whom I showed works that I had done according to Laurens.

No. I went to the Grande Chaumière Academy because I was more interested in painting than sculpture, to tell the truth. I did the sculpture because I thought it was necessary for the question of relief in the secret of great classical painting, but I was mostly attracted by the painting I practiced at La Grande Chaumière, with drawing. I drew a lot when I was a student, a lot.

Francis Delaye, there we understand a little better, we have some keys to look in the lock to see and understand the man you are, and to better understand his extremely rich inner life. Excuse me perhaps for the triviality of this question but, basically if we hear your testimony about your family, your professional career, your career as an artist, and also your testimonies as a cooperator of the works of the Church, in a few words what were your…, I will say perhaps your few failures on the one hand, and on the other hand, to weigh everything, your greatest achievements in this long life of 97 years? What are the points you are still asking yourself about? That you might have treated differently?  Family, work, church services, painting?  And on the contrary these points of success on these same subjects, family, work, painting, Church?

From the family, when the children were small, we were reciting the rosary, a rosary of Lourdes exceptionally large to amuse the children. But from this faith it remains only one of my daughters really practicing, but a little fundamentalist, which disturbs people a little. Because they do not understand that someone who is imperfect can be at the same time good practitioner. But that is a failure in fact that I think is part of the Lord’s views; and anyway, I think he is the one who acts in everything I do.

Precisely, Francis, we are going to discuss this other part of the leg: the man we declined according to these four layers. And then it is the tibia that marks the extension of man, of this expansion to God. I have four questions in the same way. You say that you are kneaded, that you spend your days to announce, to prepare the second human advent of Jesus Christ. What does that mean? This second human advent of Jesus Christ on which you deploy a totally new theology, it seems to me, at least that Vatican II did not talk about, and in which you stand out from many men of prayer and theologians who for thirty years have spoken to us about God, of Jesus Christ on the subject of the Love of abandonment, when you, Francis Delaye, propose to the world by the human advent for the second time of Jesus Christ, that this coming lies in an underlying way the divine humility revealed by the humiliation of Jesus Christ. The question is awfully long. What does this second human advent of our Lord Jesus Christ mean, and what does it mean for people who do not believe?

This second advent in fact, it was announced truly little, only by some people.  And in the Gospels, there is nothing that speaks specifically of it. But if you want, it is a vision of the palm Friday as it took place in the time of Jesus, that would be done universally so that Jesus Christ is glorified on earth by gathering all around him before the event of the anti-Christ.

Did this second advent that you prophesied, Francis Delaye, has this second advent begun? Second sub-question, if it has started or if it has not started this second advent, what consequences does this have for our societies and for our youth?

Francis Delaye

To tell the truth I think it started in the year 2000. But it must first be in the hands of the little souls who are willing to receive the heart of Christ without reservation to publish it to others. And this will allow at that time, in a general conversion, generalized, but with fights that will not necessarily always be in favor of the good, but sometimes enemies of Christ. It would allow a time of freeness of human nature and a really flourishing time of human nature for a while. There is the New-Age who has secular prophets who have had a certain vision of these things, but not well appreciated because they are not close to the revelation of the Pope. That is too bad!  But they do think that in a way, too.

I understand in your words, by deduction, that one of the consequences for societies could be greater unity. Unity among believers among themselves, and unity of believers among themselves with non-believers in Jesus Christ dead and resurrected. So, this unity, this renewal of the Church, it was announced by Vatican II by Lumen Gentium and Gaudium and Spes – excuse me if I skin Latin – I remember these few particularly important encyclicals. Pope Francis has just released  Fratelli Tutti,  and when I read the encyclical I hear Francis Delaye going so far in the unity of Christians and non-Christians that he had the audacity to write a book “ridding” Jesus Christ of the Christian religion, in any case by offering men the power of his divinity beyond religion, which this unity has this chance to put, in your book that you have written, to put…, you have had this title absolutely… perhaps it is prescient in this advent in any case prophetic, you speak of Jesus no longer as God but Master of secularism. Master of secularism! That is to say, this master of secularism who, basically, returning to the man Jesus Christ, would allow all men to finally get along and to know if not eternal bliss in any case to no longer have to fight in their religion but to propose precisely Jesus Christ Master of secularism. It is huge! It is a giant name! It is absolutely gigantic!

It is proposing God without fear to everyone. Because in fact there are many people who are indifferent, who withdraw to the daily life that already has its problems, but they do not realize that they are in the hand of God but of the Principle of Life of the universes that directs everything. And Jesus Christ announces that one does not have to be afraid of god’s demands, which are first passion before the resurrection, but which are taken over by each one according to what he can bear and not beyond.

Francis Delaye you are on the footsteps, on the trail it seems to me in fact, of these great theologians who renewed Christianity in the second half of the twentieth century. No, I told you, I am nothing at all. I am just a steppingstone for a theologian who will come and explain everything in detail in the big books that need to be done on this subject. I only indicate notes, only poor notes in my head that happen to me, but of myself I am really nothing.

The humiliation of Jesus Christ delivers his living human heart to the salvation of the whole world.  Mary’s humiliation merges her heart of woman to bring us to him without any judgment. The heart of the universal messiah engendered in that of Mary revealed by the ecumenical gospel is free.

Clouds separate the world from Jesus Christ Messiah who humbles himself making them disappear according to what I have been given to announce since a dream whose intuition guides my vocation at the moment. The New Age asks pertinent questions but is in the midst of a gnosis to ignore our revolt against God, the original fault, which we are all afflicted with outside of Jesus Christ and his mother. When one leads oneself alone into inner life without any religious feeling, one must seek to obey the spirit of instinct of the principle of life perfectly but humiliate oneself that we do not always do so. And what humiliation is the most perfect than to practice in a vacuum the religion of choice or inheritance.

Medallion

In the first part of the book Jesus Christ, Master of Secularism, medallions were created that were not sufficiently universal. In fact this book is therefore a series of trial and error to arrive at a complex and new way of thinking.

Finally, an international medallion was created which better renders a universal thought. It was cast in bronze for Evelyne’s tomb (at the old cemetery of Gasville 28300).
